Social media gap forming between business and real world

“I put up a slide this morning, sort of asking the audience that were here today, have you ever done this, have you ever done that, lots of shaking heads around the audience about the ways that they’ve used facebook to, buy something that was liked by their friends. That just doesn’t really happen amongst the business community. So lots of these changes are being sort of watched one step removed by retail business managers. And that in itself creates a bit of a gap between what’s needed and the abilities of the people, who take the decisions to respond, so that’s a concern as well I guess, a cultural concern."
