Global hospitality research project will uncover new insights

A joint project between yBC and global hospitality, tourism and leisure consulting giant Horwath HTL will lead to new insights for hotel owners, operators and investors around the world. The project will result in significant industry information being made available for the first time, with end users being able to query and manipulate data for country-specific insights.

yBC has been brought in to provide project management, digital platform development, data visualisation specialists and user experience expertise. The team will work closely with Horwath HTL’s research team and a select group of their global consultants to bring the project to life. There will also be dozens of industry commentators, leaders and academics involved. All of this will be built on yBC’s ReThink platform, a digital platform which enables high levels of interaction and engagement via the delivery of rich content.

Heading the yBC team from New Zealand, yBC co-founder and CEO Mark Sinclair describes the joint project team as “an impressive cross section of industry leaders” and says that the team is excited by the scale and depth of the project. “We’ve worked on many research-based projects previously, and we’ve built our fair share of bespoke digital platforms, but we’re quite excited about this work. The dataset we’ll be working with will be quite revealing, and the industry experts this project brings together will be most unique.”

“We’re also delighted to be working with the team at Horwath HTL on this. They have significant industry talent around the table, which combines serious in-country expertise with a unique global perspective.”

The project is currently in the advanced planning stage, with the first phase of rollout expected to be released to the industry later this year, with further rollouts to follow.
