If you haven’t heard of Debbie Weil you should look her up. She wrote The Corporate Blogging Book and counts Fortune 500s among her clients. She also refreshingly down to earth. I warmed to her the moment I asked her how she wanted to be described – she said author because “social media consultant sounds so lame”.
So what did I learn? Plenty. Two things are top of mind right now. 1. Keep blogging – a blog that hasn’t been updated for six months sends a terrible impression. 2. It doesn’t matter if people don’t read your blog every day – as long as they find it when they search on problems you can help with.
Simple points I know. But with so much noise about social media sometimes we overcomplicate. People like Debbie bring you back on track.
