We were invited the the The Hospitality & Tourism Summit 2012 at the InterContinental London Park Lane, where we had the opportunity to interview several of the speakers for new business tv shows. The summit was designed to bring together government initiatives and the hospitality sector, which was focused around a series of talks by expert panelists.
There were some notable speakers, including London Mayor Boris Johnson, Sir David Michels (recently interviewed here in The Telegraph), the Chinese Ambassador to the UK, and Taleb Rifai, the Secretary General of the United Nations World Tourism Organisation, amongst many others.
We got the chance to create business tv shows with some of the speakers during the coffee breaks. We interviewed several people, including Tracey Rogers, the Managing Director of Unilever UK, Steve Pateman, the Head of UK Banking for Santander, and James Berresford, the CEO of VisitEngland. Everyone had some great insights into the sector, how things are changing, the challenges and opportunities.
Hospitality is dynamic and ever changing, and this year with the Olympics around the corner it will be interesting to see how that affects tourism in the UK, both during and after the games have finished.
Speakers from The Hospitality Tourism Summit 2012 will appear in business tv shows on our hospitality tv channel in due course
